Maria Brody
Maria is a Chartered Physiotherapist from Scariff, Co. Clare. She graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from Coventry University in 2008. Maria started her career in elderly care rehabilitation working across nursing homes in Co. Clare. She then began working in private practice settings, for several years in Tralee and Dingle Co. Kerry, and after that in Castletroy, Co. Limerick. Maria spent 5 years in Australia where she gained further knowledge and experience in both private and sports settings. In 2018 Maria returned home and has been working in Castletroy Physiotherapy Clinic since.
Maria has a keen interest in sports and plays camogie with her local club. Maria has worked as a physio in various sports settings including with the Clare Senior Hurling team and the Irish Youth Boxing Team. She has also worked with numerous hurling and football clubs across Clare, Limerick and Kerry.
Maria has a vast scope of experience and is especially interested in management of sports injuries, back and neck pain, shoulder issues, biomechanics and pre and post op physiotherapy. Maria has completed many courses to further her studies including Strength and Conditioning, Pilates, Headaches, Whiplash disorders, and Orthotic prescription, among others. Maria believes in a hands-on approach to therapy and includes soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation and dry needling in her treatments, as well as giving patients advice and exercise programmes to prevent injuries reoccurring.
