Specialist Sports Physiotherapy
Have your weekend park runs been afflicted by Achilles pain? Perhaps you are a senior rugby or GAA player who has just suffered a shoulder dislocation. Maybe you’re a gym goer or Crossfitter who just can’t shake off that lower back niggle. If you are experiencing a problem that is stopping you from fully participating in any form of exercise, we can help you with our dedicated Sports Physiotherapy and Return to Performance service.
Our approach starts with a thorough assessment of your injury in the context of your exercise and sporting history, level of participation and training goals. We capture data on your baseline physical performance, which informs a needs analysis on your activity or sport. From this we co-develop your individualised recovery plan, to ensure key markers of progress are met. We discuss your expectations, and provide you with a detailed understanding of your injury and the recovery process. Our rehabilitation plans are founded on strength and conditioning protocols and best practice advice on injury management factors.
All aspects of your rehabilitation programme will be demonstrated in our private gym space, allowing you to leave feeling confident in the technique and intensity required for you to carry out your sessions. This is supported by our online strength and conditioning software, where you can access the specifics of each training session and guidance videos at each stage of your rehabilitation journey.
Our Specialist Sports Injury Team is led by Chartered Physiotherapist and qualified Personal Trainer Amy O’Mahony. She is passionate about ensuring athletes return to performance better than their pre-injury levels. If you have a specific running related injury, Clinic Manager and Chartered Physiotherapist Lonan Hughes can assist you with a return to performance
